Shifting Power: Save the Children’s Localization Strategy in Tigray

Save the Children Ethiopia recently unveiled its localization strategy to the Tigray Localization Working Group at Mekelle Planet Hotel. The initiative was met with strong appreciation from the audience, who recognized its potential to empower local actors and enhance the effectiveness of aid delivery. The strategy is part of Save the Children’s broader commitment to shifting power to local and national actors, ensuring that resources and decision-making are more closely aligned with the needs and priorities of the communities they serve. This approach aims to create more timely, appropriate, and effective outcomes for children and their communities.
