Axum, Tigray — August 16, 2025 A pivotal launching workshop was held today in Axum to inaugurate the project titled “Strengthening Protection & Resilience for Displaced Communities in six IDP sites at Central Zone, Abiy Adi, Adwa, and Axum Weredas of Tigray.” The initiative aims to enhance the safety, dignity, and resilience of internally displaced persons (IDPs) across the region.
The event brought together key stakeholders including Wereda Social Affairs officials, city administrators, and representatives from IDP communities, all of whom actively participated in the discussions. The workshop served as a platform to introduce the scope and objectives of the project, clarify roles, and foster a shared understanding of collaborative efforts required for successful implementation.
