News Update: Project Launching Workshop on Fostering Positive Relationships between Returning IDPs and Local Settlers

In a momentous event today, the workshop on “Fostering Positive Relationships between Returning IDPs and Local Settlers through an advocacy campaign and training on peace building” was officially launched. The gathering brought together key stakeholders, including Mrs. General Zewdu Berhe Head of Tigray Social Affairs and Rehabilitation Bureau, government representatives, UN agencies, international NGOs, local civil society organizations (CSOs), and internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the region.

Objectives of the Workshop:

Advocacy Campaign: The workshop aims to raise awareness about the rights and needs of returning IDPs. By advocating for informed decisions and voluntary relocations, the campaign seeks to ensure dignified and safe returns.

Peace Building Strategies: Participants engaged in discussions on conflict resolution, effective communication, and trust-building between IDPs and local communities. These strategies are essential for fostering positive relationships.
