On 13 October 2025, a joint monitoring visit was conducted to HOP’s EHF-funded protection project in Abiy Adi. Delegates from the Tigray sub-national Protection Cluster, BoFED, DRMO, and the Wereda Bureau of Social and Rehabilitation Affairs participated.
The HOP protection officer presented progress updates, followed by discussions with IDP structures at two sites. Stakeholders confirmed that the project is progressing smoothly in line with performance indicators.
Protection cash assistance was delivered to 208 IDPs at heightened risk, each receiving $100. A selection committee ensured fair targeting, and complaints were resolved through a dedicated committee and suggestion boxes. Verification was completed prior to disbursement.
Delegates commended HOP’s transparency and inclusive approach, engaging both IDPs and government bodies from design to implementation.
