Heal Our People (HOP) has distributed various play and recreational kits to children at Genedebta and Mayshuhu primary schools. These kits are designed to help children express their emotions and foster positive relationships with their peers, particularly benefiting those who have experienced trauma.
The two-year conflict-affected girls and boys in Tigray will significantly benefit from these materials, which aim to improve their overall wellbeing. The project emphasizes gender and disability-inclusive, non-violent play, promoting children’s psychological and social wellbeing. By providing a safe environment and child-friendly spaces, the project strengthens their trauma-coping capacity and helps reduce violent and gender-stereotypical attitudes and behaviors.
This initiative is implemented in partnership with “PIN”, underscoring a collaborative effort to support the children’s healing and resilience.
